Parental input and involvement are vital to ensure that every child gets the maximum benefit from the time they spend at nursery.

Join the Tiddlywinks family

We get to know children and their families very well, and take time to learn about each child’s individual needs, preferences, routines and interests. We involve parents closely in all aspects of each child’s introduction to the nursery, as well as during their transitions between rooms.

Keeping you informed and entertained

We meet and chat to parents every day at drop-off and pick-up times, so we are always available to discuss any issues. We use an app to maintain constant two-way communication with parents throughout the day. We post learning journals on the app so you can see what your child has been doing and how they are progressing. You can add comments and observations, as well as ask questions via the app.

We are very active on social media, which enables parents and families to find out what’s going on at our nurseries. We post about our activities and also our ideas and plans for the week ahead, so you can get involved and support your child at home.

Experience the world of Tiddlywinks

We hold parents’ evenings to give you an opportunity to see your child’s work, take a look around the nursery, experience some of the activities and sample some of the meals we cook for the children. These are very social occasions, which are hugely popular with parents. We also put on stay-and-play sessions, when parents or relatives can come in and join us for a few hours to play with their children and see what they get up to every day.
