As well as their professional qualifications, every member of our nursery team is qualified in safeguarding, first aid, and food hygiene and allergy awareness. As you would expect, all staff are DBS checked and cleared.

Katy Bulleyment
Easingwold Manager

Katy is the Easingwold nursery Manager she joined us in October 2015 after working for the previous owners for many years.

Katy is highly organised, motivated and a fantastic support to the nursery team as well as the wider management team. She loves settling in new children and takes time and pride in getting to know families and providing support when needed. Katy enjoys helping staff  in creative and stimulating activities, and teaching the use of Makaton in the children’s daily routines as well as singing and storytime. In her spare time Katy loves spending time with her husband and  two boys………….. usually stood on the side of a football pitch!

Tiddlywinks team member Joanne Flint
Joanne Flint
Assistant manager & Little Saplings room supervisor

Joanne is our pre-school room supervisor and assistant manager at Tiddlywinks Easingwold.

She joined us in October 2015, having previously worked at the York nursery since 2006, starting as a college student and working her way up to a management role. Joanne works closely with the toddler room children, supporting their transition into the pre-school room, as well as working closely with our feeder schools to support children transitioning into Reception year. Joanne is an accredited Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and works closely with outside agencies to give children the best possible support and allow them to achieve to the best of their abilities. She loves DIY and being creative, inspiring awe and wonder across the EYFS. She is also mum to a beautiful son.

Helen Eden
Nursery Chef

Helen has been the Chef at Tiddlywinks since May 2016. She prepares fresh nutritious and delicious meals for the children every day.

Helen also enjoys baking with the children and preparing celebratory meals as part of different festivals and cultures. Helen’s kitchen continuously achieves a 5-star food hygiene rating, she was also involved in helping the nursery to achieve the Gold award from NYCC for ‘Healthy children’ in Early Years. All the children love Helen’s cooking, and parents are always pleasantly surprised to hear what their children have eaten at nursery! Helen works in partnership with Sue the catering Manager to produce seasonal nutritiously balanced menus for the children to enjoy..

Charlotte Callaghan
Senior early years educator, Little Saplings

Charlotte is a Level 3 qualified practitioner and works part time in our Toddler room.

Charlotte joined Tiddlywinks in January 2020. She enjoys delivering a wide range of  activities to help the Toddlers develop new skills, build their confidence and of course have fun. Children learn so much between the ages of two and three so a wide variety of activities to suit each child is very important and Charlotte ensures that these activities are child led and individualised. Charlotte particularly loves the outdoors and potion making, adding in lots of natural materials so that children can use their senses to explore the world around them.

Outside of work Charlotte enjoys cooking and spending time with her two children.

Freya Wandless
Early years educator, Little Saplings

Freya joined us from York college in July 2022 after passing her Level 3 in Childcare.

Freya works full time in our baby room and loves to watch and encourage the children develop and grow through their early years and gain confidence in the world around them. Freya also enjoys learning and implementing Makaton within the baby room and uses it during Circle time with all the children. Freya particularly loves messy play and encouraging the children to use their senses to explore the world around them.

Outside of Work Freya enjoys socialising with friends,long walks and baking.

Madi Robertson
Early years educator, Little Saplings

Madi started at Tiddlywinks as a Level 2 practitioner in April 2021 and has since completed her Level 3 Childcare qualification.

Madi enjoys working in the baby room, nurturing the children’s development and using her imagination to extend their interests with a range of activities across all areas of the EYFS. Madi particularly likes reading stories and bringing them to life using puppets, props and music. She is a very calming presence and gives the best cuddles!

In her spare time Madi like too spend time with her family, go on long walks and camping.

Heidi Gilbert
Early years apprentice, Little Acorns

Heidi has recently joined the Tiddlywinks team as an apprentice in our Little Acorns room.

Heidi has had joined us following a long career  in the care sector. She really enjoys being part of the Tiddlywinks team and working together to support the children to thrive in the setting and beyond.  Heidi is our activity coordinator and is able to provide a diverse range of activities and support for children in our Little Acorns room helping them achieve many crucial milestones and of course celebrate them. As the children are so very busy and interests change so rapidly Heidi is very busy co-ordinating activities to ensure each child gets the most out of their day. Heidi is a mum of 2  and loves being outside with them and visiting the lake district.

Hallie Robson
Early Years Apprentice, Little Saplings

Hallie joined us as an Apprentice in 2021 and and then relocated to a different county, happily she then returned to us after moving back to Easingwold in 2023.

Halle loves working with eary years children as they are at their most receptive and Hallie believes being a positive role model is imperative in their development, she feels its important to work in partnership with parents to enable the children to get the best out of their early years journey. Hallie enjoys getting messy in the our large outdoor area with the children. In her spare time Hallie loves to take her son to the park and introduce him to the world of shopping!

Victoria McGuinness
Senior early years educator, Little Acorns

Victoria came to Tiddlywinks in September 2019 as an early years apprentice in childcare and has achieved her Level 3 qualification.

Known to everyone as “Tor”❤ .

Tor has a passion for crafting and has a fantastic imagination, helping to bring activities to life for our children and inspiring everyone she works with. Tor has risen to room senior and is passionate about outdoor education and this is reflected in her practice as she is always to be found outside come rain or shine.

In her spare time, Tor loves the outdoors and camping with her two boys. She even has her own blog: ‘Adventures with my two boys’.

Joelyne Marchant
Room Leader, Little Acorns

Joelyne is our toddler room supervisor. She joined Tiddlywinks in October 2015 having worked for the previous owners for many years.

Joelyne works as the room leader in the Little Acorns room with our toddlers, she also regularly works with the babies in Little Saplings building bonds with the babies who will transition into her toddler room and nurturing.  Joelyne is a very calm and patient practitioner who has a very nurturing nature, this approach helps the children develop their confidence, independence and self-esteem which are key elements for learning. Joelyne particularly enjoys messy play and exploring natural resources, helping children discover the world around them.

Outside of work Joelyne enjoys socialising with friends at concerts and festivals and spending time with her family, she also enjoys learning about animals and visiting Chester Zoo

Shyann Bower
Early Years Educator, Little Acorns

Shyann joined Tiddlywinks in July 2022, looking for a career change after having completing her Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care at college.

Shyann has completed her level 3 childcare apprenticeship  with us here at Tiddlywinks and works in our toddler room. Shyann brings energy to the Little Acorns and enjoys planning and joining in with all the fun activities she prepares for the children! Shyann is very good at ensuring that all the children in her care get the best out of their day and adapts her practice to make sure each child is comfortable, happy and working at their own individual level. Outside of work Shyann enjoys socialising with her friends and spending time with her family.

April Wimmer
Early years assistant & Forest Schools co-ordinator, Mighty Oaks

April is a Level 2 practitioner in childcare and is working towards her Level 3. April has lots of experience in the great outdoors and in running forest school sessions.

April works in the Mighty Oaks and is instrumental in the organisation and quality of our outdoor provision. April loves teaching the children all about the great outdoors using her forest school knowledge and skills, all the children thoroughly enjoy Aprils calm and quiet approach.

April enjoys learning new skills in her spare time, as well as playing musical instruments, climbing, woodwork and skateboarding.

Lizi Watson
Room Leader, Forest school teacher, Mighty Oaks

Lizi joined the Tiddlywinks family in 2016, after a brief break to pursue other interests she returned to us in 2023 as our pre school room leader.

Lizi absolutely loves the great outdoors, she loves creating awe and wonder and observing how children play and how their imaginations run wild!. Lizi enjoys listening to the children and the conversations they have together, messy play and exploring in the forest school environment to enable the children to get stuck in is where lizi’s real passion lies. Lizi enables the children to develop at their pace as she says the pre school children are her tribe! Outside of work Lizi lives with her husband and pet rats, she loves to spend time with her large family at their farm as well as pottering in her garden. Lizi’s other great passion is high performance cars.

Early Years Teacher, Mighty Oaks

Megan joined Tiddlywinks in 2024 following a move from Rotherham to the local area.

Megan is a qualified Early  Years Teacher who loves to get messy! from shaving cream to mud kitchens to splashing in muddy puddles. Megan also loves the happiness that shines through when children are learning and discovering, she loves to watch the children grow in confidence as they get ready to go to school. In her free time Megan loves walking and exploring the local area.

Katy Joined Tiddlywinks after finishing school in 2024

Katie joined us as our youngest apprentice in 2024, she wanted to pursue a career in childcare and preferred the worked based opportunities that an apprenticeship offers. Katie loves to see the children use their imagination and develop their skills ready for school . Katy loves to get creative with the children and seeing the excitement on the children’s faces when they complete a task. Outside of work Katy plays rugby for a local team and enjoys going to the gym.
