Meet the Team

Molly Close
Boroughbridge Manager

Molly is our Tiddlywinks Manager at Boroughbridge after working for Tiddlywinks York and gaining experience in a school environment.

Molly has worked in the Early Years sector Since 2013 and first joined the Tiddlywinks team in August 2016. Molly joined the team as a Baby Room Supervisor before gaining promotions to SENCo and Assistant Manager during her 5 years at our York nursery. Molly has always had inclusivity and individuality at the heart of her provision and has spent the last 3 years as the Deputy SENCo at Fulford School, gaining further knowledge and experience in advocating and coordinating provision for young people with a range of special educational needs. We are delighted for Molly to be rejoining our team in September 2024 as a Nursery Manager.
Molly is a dog Mum to an energetic Labrador, Arthur, who she loves to take on long walks, with plenty of swimming alongside other four-legged friends. You can usually find Molly at a park run, spending time with friends and family or going to the theatre in her free time.

Joanne Henderson
Deputy Manager, Toddler Room Lead and SENCO

Jo is our Deputy Nursery Manager, Fledglings room lead AND SENCO.

Jo joins us having had a successful childcare career that has spanned 25 years. She trained at Harrogate College and completed a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies. Over the last 25 years Jo has worked in a number of nurseries, as well as being a nanny, she has looked after children from birth right through to teenagers. Jo has has also completed a Level 3 in Leadership and Management as well as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children and Young People’s Services and is also SENCo level 3 qualified. Jo brings this knowledge and experience to support families and children’s development across the EYFS in a high-quality nurturing environment. Jo takes pride in mentoring and guiding practitioners to help them grow and deliver the best possible care, she enjoys the balance of working with children to build strong trusting relationships and delivering creative activities to support children’s learning as well as contributing to the strategic running of the setting as part of the management team. Jo lives in Ripon with her two children, Ethan who is 13 and Lily who is 9, and their dog Ollie

Tiddlywinks team member Lauren Gault
Lauren Gault
Junior Assistant Manager - Boroughbridge and Hatchlings Room Lead

Lauren has many years of childcare experience. Before she joined the Tiddlywinks team in 2016, she worked as a nanny in London for two years and prior to that as our baby room lead at our York Nursery for 9 years.

Lauren is passionate about her role as our baby room supervisor. She oversees the daily running of the room, ensuring we provide exciting and stimulating activities for the children. She also supports and trains the team of four staff with positivity and enthusiasm.

In her spare time Lauren enjoys baking, and is renowned for making the best cheesecakes and truffles. She also enjoys exploring new places and spending time with family and friends.

Kayleigh Phillipson
Deputy Room Lead - Little Roosters

Kayleigh is our joint Deputy room lead in Little Roosters and is a passionate and experienced childcare professional with over 8 years of experience.

Kayleigh loves being outdoors and enjoys creating fun, engaging activities that encourage children to explore and learn. Kayleigh is dedicated to supporting each child’s unique learning journey and helping them build the skills and confidence they need for their next stage of development. Kayleigh works closely with the Room lead to plan and deliver engaging, play based learning experiences to support all areas of the EYFS. Kayleigh brings creativity to the role with a love of baking, imaginative and messy activities, she ensures that the children learn through play, get messy and make lots of memories on their early years journey with us.

In Kayleigh’s spare time, she enjoys walking, watching ice hockey and football, and travelling to new places

Tiddlywinks team member Ella Brooks
Ella Brooks
Senior Early Years Educator and Deputy Room Lead - Fledglings

Ella joined us as a supply member of staff, but enjoyed her time here so much that she decided to stay. Ella brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Boroughbridge having previously worked at the York site.

Ella joined us full time after passing her A levels she then completed her apprenticeship with us in record time to gain her Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification. Ella brings kindness, calmness and creativity to her work and loves to display her passion for arts and craft around the nursery, she is highly organised and loves nothing more than setting up activities to allow the children to express themselves through art and messy play. When she is not at work, Ella also enjoys reading and making Lego models as well as taking her miniature Dachshund Frank for a walk.

Lizi Watson
Room Leader, Forest school teacher, Mighty Oaks

Lizi joined the Tiddlywinks family in 2016, after a brief break to pursue other interests she returned to us in 2023 as our pre school room leader.

Lizi absolutely loves the great outdoors, she loves creating awe and wonder and observing how children play and how their imaginations run wild!. Lizi enjoys listening to the children and the conversations they have together, messy play and exploring in the forest school environment to enable the children to get stuck in is where lizi’s real passion lies. Lizi enables the children to develop at their pace as she says the pre school children are her tribe! Outside of work Lizi lives with her husband and pet rats, she loves to spend time with her large family at their farm as well as pottering in her garden. Lizi’s other great passion is high performance cars.

Stephanie Grange
Level 3 Apprentice - Little Roosters

Steph has joined the Tiddlywinks team as an apprentice in our Fledglings room. Steph has joined us following a career in the care sector.

Steph has enjoyed transitioning to Early years from the care sector having just had her own little one and she loves providing lots of fun, diverse and engaging activities for little ones to get involved with, the more mess the better being Steph’s motto! As the rooms interest change so rapidly Steph enjoys planning different events and activities to complement these interests whilst ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met and nurtured. Steph is enthusiastic and eager to start her apprenticeship to develop her understanding of child development and bring new ideas and approaches to the role.  In her spare time Steph likes to spend time with her family and enjoys going on days out together.

Molly Humphrey
Level 3 Apprentice - Hatchlings

Molly is starting her Tiddlywinks career as our Level 3 Apprentice in the Hatchlings room having already gained her level 2 early years qualification and gained previous experience at another setting

Molly’s interest in early years started after the birth of her son. As a mum herself Molly brings warmth, empathy and understanding to her role which shines through with her interactions with the children. With hands on experience both personally and professional having come from another childcare setting Molly is passionate about creating a calm, nurturing environment where each child feels secure, safe and happy. Molly is halfway through her apprenticeship and will bring her knowledge of child development, early communication and emotional wellbeing to the role. Molly is passionate about developing her knowledge and understanding of early years and ensuring that children are provided with a broad and balanced curriculum on their early years journey, as well as ensuring the children in her care are experiencing a range of pedagogical influences to support their holistic development. In her spare time Molly enjoys spending time with Her little boy and family as they enjoy being outdoors and going on days out together.
